Robert and I have wanted to create a contender for the best German Pinot Noir / Spatburgunder for years. We even planted our own Mosel Pinot Noir vineyard! The Mosel has a long history of Pinot Noir and now in the 21st century, the region is giving even Burgundy a run for it's money.
 
In 2022 we were blessed with the best conditions for outstanding Mosel Red Wines. Our very best Spatburgunder (aka Pinot Noir) vineyard is more than 50+ year old (we're not exactly sure how flockin' old but we've been told it might even be close to 70) and sits outside the border of Terrassen Mosel's greatest Grand Cru, Winningen Röttgen. This extremely steep old Mosel vineyard yeilded just enough grapes to fill two fresh French Barriques. 
 
Hand picked in September, foot stomped, and long skin contact fermentation going more than a month. Our TFA is the most prestiguous and delicious Pinot Noir we have ever produced and one Robert and I are proud to give its own unique label to. 
 
We hope you enjoy now, but also age for a long time because this Pinot Noir is a true testament to our growth and maturity as a winery!
